Your experience is our business - our reputation depends upon it. Here are some things
you might like to know before making an enquiry.
WEATHER -What happens if the weather’s bad?We build in flexibility to our trips
in regard to duration and venue, and can offer alternatives if the weather makes
your trip unviable. Your safety is our #1 priority, so we may have to cancel trips
in extreme conditions.
Do you offer trips year-round? Yes! We have excellent kit and can run trips throughout
the year.
FITNESS/EXPERIENCE - Do I need to be fit?Our trips are tailored to your level of
fitness.
Do I need previous experience? No - even complete novices can enjoy kayaking on the
sea or canoeing down a river in sheltered conditions, under close supervision and
with coaching.
disABILITY -I have a disability - what can you offer me?Mike has often worked with
people with disabilities in the outdoors, from sea-kayaking to abseiling. We’re more
interested in what you can do rather than what you can’t. You might be amazed at
what you can achieve, or you might already know but have never been given the chance.
Contact us and we’ll do everything we can to provide you with an opportunity for
adventure.
AALA LICENCE -Do you have an AALA licence? We do not have an AALA licence, as our
trips are primarily aimed at adult groups and families and as such we do not require
one. We do follow all AALA and National Governing Body guidelines, and every trip
we run is under fully qualified guidance. We regret though that we cannot run any
trips for unsupervised young people under 18.
INSURANCE -Are you insured? We do have full public liability insurance.
SAFETY -Will I be safe?Your safety is our number 1 priority on all of our trips.
You will have a qualified, experienced guide, and specialist kit and clothing that
is better than most others will provide. Comprehensive first aid kits, hot drinks
and emergency shelters accompany all trips. VHF Radio & Flares accompany remote trips.
We will not compromise on safety.
